Paris Hilton, the popular reality TV star and businesswoman, recently reflected on a life-changing lesson from her mother, Kathy Hilton.
In a conversation with Page Six, Hilton shared advice she received before her show The Simple Life aired in the early 2000s.
Her mother had told her,
“Paris, when the show airs on Fox tomorrow, your life is going to change forever. I want you to remain the same sweet and down-to-earth girl you are. Never forget that.”
Hilton said those words became a guiding light in her career.
“I’ve kept my mom’s advice close to my heart ever since,” she said.
This heartfelt memory came to light as Hilton accepted the “Woman of the Year” award for her recent relief efforts.
Earlier this year, she lost her $8.4 million (Dh30 million) Malibu home during the Palisades and Eaton Fires.
However, she quickly shifted her focus to helping others. Through her nonprofit, 11:11 Media Impact, she raised over $800,000 for wildfire relief in Los Angeles.
She partnered with several organizations to support families affected by the fires.
Despite personal loss, Hilton remained resilient and focused.
“My heart broke for all the mums and children with nowhere to sleep that night,” she shared.
“Many of them had lost everything.”
In her acceptance speech, Hilton also spoke about her parents and grandmother. She said they have always been her biggest inspiration.
“They have the biggest hearts,” Hilton said.
“They always make me laugh and feel loved. They are my role models.”
Overall, Hilton’s story highlights her strength, humility, and commitment to making a difference—even in the face of personal tragedy.
