Sharjah’s Safeer Mall will be renamed as Mark & Save Mall

Safeer Mall in Sharjah will now operate under a new provisional name: ‘Mark & Save Mall’.

This change follows its recent acquisition by Western International Group, marking the start of a massive redevelopment project.

Built in 2005, the mall has served the community for 19 years. It became a key landmark in Sharjah.

Located on Etihad Road (E11), the mall connects Dubai and Sharjah. Over 100,000 vehicles pass this highway daily.

In January, Safeer Group of Companies officially handed over the property to Western International Group.

The redevelopment will take about 18 months. During this time, the mall will temporarily close for renovation work.

The mall will not be demolished entirely. However, the scale of work requires the complete evacuation of all shops.

What’s Coming: Mark & Save Retail Concept

The new brand, Mark & Save, will bring a fresh, value-driven retail experience to Sharjah.

According to the company, the layout will be modern. It will improve customer flow and enhance the overall experience.

Visitors can expect wider walkways, updated interiors, and advanced infrastructure in and around the mall.

Current Shops and Eviction Notices

Nine shops are still operating in the mall. However, tenants remain uncertain about their future.

The group has issued eviction notices with all required approvals and permits already secured. Authorities have been consulted throughout the planning and approval process, ensuring full compliance with regulations.

The group has invested over Dh1 billion in the redevelopment project.

Once complete, the mall will include Sharjah’s largest indoor family play zone and multiple dining options.

It will also feature a full-service gym and a large hypermarket for everyday shopping needs.

This major transformation will generate hundreds of new jobs during construction and after reopening.

Opportunities will span across retail, logistics, hospitality, entertainment, and facility management sectors.

Western International Group is a global investor in retail, real estate, and consumer products. Its portfolio includes popular brands like Geepas, Mark & Save, Nesto, Royalford, and Younglife.

Safeer Mall has long been a go-to destination for Sharjah residents and UAE commuters. With this transformation, it is set to enter a new era—more vibrant, modern, and shopper-focused than ever before.
