Sharjah residents can enjoy free parking during the Eid Al Fitr holiday from Shawwal 1 to 3, as announced by the municipality.
However, this exemption does not apply to seven-day paid parking zones, which will remain operational. These zones are marked with blue parking signs for easy identification. The decision of Sharjah municipality aims to facilitate smooth travel for residents and visitors during the festive period.
Similarly, Ajman has also declared free parking from Shawwal 1 to 3. The municipality confirmed this announcement on March 28. This initiative is expected to ease mobility and encourage more people to participate in Eid celebrations without worrying about parking fees.
Meanwhile, Dubai has also announced free parking for the Eid Al Fitr holiday. Public parking will be free from Shawwal 1 to 3, except for multi-level parking terminals. The Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) has confirmed that regular parking fees will resume on Shawwal 4. This measure is part of the city’s efforts to accommodate the increased movement of people during the holiday season.
Additionally, Dubai Metro will operate with extended hours to provide greater convenience. The Red and Green Line schedules during Eid are as follows:
– Saturday, March 29: 5 AM to 1 AM (next day)
– Sunday, March 30: 8 AM to 1 AM (next day)
– Monday to Wednesday, March 31 to April 2: 5 AM to 1 AM (next day)
These measures aim to enhance public convenience and improve accessibility throughout the UAE during Eid. With free parking and extended metro hours, residents and visitors can enjoy the celebrations without transportation concerns.
