Expo Centre Sharjah Unveils Strategic Plans for 2025

Expo Centre Sharjah remains committed to strengthening the UAE’s exhibitions and events industry, especially in Sharjah. It aims to boost growth in key economic, social, cultural, and educational sectors while supporting sustainable development.

The Centre’s 2025 events calendar includes a wide range of innovative and specialized exhibitions. Several debut events will cover industries such as manufacturing, smart mobility, commerce, healthcare, fragrances, gold, and jewellery.

This announcement came during a Board of Directors meeting. Abdallah Sultan Al Owais, Chairman of the Sharjah Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SCCI) and Expo Centre Sharjah, chaired the session.

Leadership and Participation

Several key figures attended the meeting. Sheikh Majid Faisal Khalid Al Qasemi, First Vice Chairman of SCCI, and Saif Mohammed Al Midfa, CEO of Expo Centre Sharjah, were present. Board members, department heads, and senior executives also joined.

The Centre achieved remarkable success last year. It hosted 80 major exhibitions, marking an impressive 60% increase from 2023.

These events attracted nearly 3 million visitors. Leading international and regional companies participated, showcasing renowned brands and innovative products.

Performance Review and Future Goals

The board evaluated key exhibitions from 2024. Events such as SteelFab, the Sharjah Real Estate Exhibition (ACRES), and the Jewels of Emirates Show were reviewed.

Discussions focused on improving infrastructure, enhancing operational efficiency, and adopting advanced logistical and technological solutions. These efforts aim to boost exhibitor and visitor experiences.

Additionally, the Centre plans to attract more global investors. Strengthening strategic partnerships and increasing international participation remain top priorities.

Aligning with Sharjah’s Vision

Abdallah Sultan Al Owais emphasized the industry’s importance. He stated that exhibition growth aligns with the vision of His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Mohammad Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah.

He highlighted the sector’s role in attracting investment, boosting tourism, and enhancing cross-border economic connectivity. Strengthening collaboration between the private sector and the broader business community remains crucial.

Strengthening Sharjah’s Global Standing

Saif Mohammed Al Midfa reaffirmed the Centre’s strong position in the global exhibition industry. He noted that annual plans align with national economic diversification goals.

The Centre continues to build strategic partnerships and increase international participation. It also maintains memberships in leading regional and global exhibition organizations.

Additionally, collaboration with the Sharjah Chamber of Commerce and Industry helps attract specialized investment and economic forums.

Key Exhibitions and Future Outlook

The board reviewed early results from the Ramadan Nights Exhibition. The event contributed to retail growth, sales, and domestic tourism as part of the Sharjah Ramadan Festival.

Preparations continue for upcoming flagship events. These include the Watch and Jewellery Middle East Show, Emirates Perfume and Oud Exhibition, and Gulf Coatings Show.

For the first time, Sharjah will host the Evolve Future Mobility Show and Dairy Tech Middle East. These exhibitions will debut in the emirate, adding to its dynamic event calendar. With a clear strategy and exciting plans, Expo Centre Sharjah is set for another successful year. The Centre continues to position Sharjah as a global hub for exhibitions and business innovation.
