UAE President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan visited the 17th edition of the International Defence Exhibition and Conference (IDEX 2025) today at the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre (ADNEC).
During his visit, Sheikh Mohamed toured the pavilions and stands of several national and international companies participating in the event. Moreover, he examined cutting-edge technological innovations and advanced systems in the defence sector. He also engaged in discussions with exhibitors about the latest industry developments.
Welcoming international guests at IDEX 2025, Sheikh Mohamed emphasized the exhibition’s growing importance. It serves as a global platform for specialised defence companies and institutions to showcase their innovations. Additionally, he highlighted the UAE’s commitment to advancing the defence industry. This aligns with the nation’s broader vision for a knowledge-based, diversified economy.
“The UAE’s defence sector has achieved remarkable progress in recent years,” Sheikh Mohamed stated. “This reflects our focus on innovation and sustainable development.”
Furthermore, he praised the organisers of IDEX for their efforts in enhancing the exhibition’s global reputation. It now stands as a leading event for the defence industry.
Accompanying Sheikh Mohamed during the visit were H.H. Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Chairman of the Presidential Court for Special Affairs; Sheikh Mohamed bin Hamad bin Tahnoon Al Nahyan, Advisor to the UAE President, and several other officials.
