His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi issued an Emiri Decree on Monday. The decree focuses on establishing and organizing the Sheikha Jawaher Bint Mohammed Al Qasimi Collection.
According to the decree, the “Sheikha Jawaher Bint Mohammed Al Qasimi Collection Museum” will be established in Sharjah. This museum will function as an independent legal entity with administrative and financial autonomy. Furthermore, it will have the authority to carry out necessary legal activities to achieve its objectives and fulfill its mission.
Ownership of the museum will remain with the Emirate’s government. However, H.H. Sheikha Jawaher Bint Mohammed Al Qasimi will retain ownership of all displayed collections. The museum’s official English name is “Sheikha Jawaher Bint Mohammed Al Qasimi Collection.”
Additionally, H.H. Sheikha Jawaher Bint Mohammed Al Qasimi will serve as the museum’s President. Its headquarters will be located in the Sharjah Creativity District. Furthermore, the President may decide to establish branches in other cities and regions of the Emirate.
A director, appointed by the President, will manage the museum’s operations and report directly to leadership. Moreover, the director will be supported by a skilled and competent workforce to ensure efficient daily operations. The museum aims to contribute to Sharjah’s cultural landscape by preserving valuable collections and enhancing public engagement with the region’s heritage.
