The Sharjah Shopping Promotions, organized by the Sharjah Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SCCI), concluded on Sunday. This marked the end of 43 days of exclusive discounts, entertainment activities, and festive celebrations across the emirate.

Launched on 8th December, the event attracted an impressive public turnout. It offered residents and visitors substantial discounts of up to 75% on a wide variety of products. Furthermore, major shopping centres and retail outlets actively participated, competing to provide promotional deals and discounts on renowned local and international brands.

In addition to unbeatable shopping offers, visitors enjoyed a vibrant lineup of entertainment activities. These included games, competitions, artistic performances, and cultural heritage shows. These diverse events ensured a family-friendly atmosphere that appealed to audiences of all ages and interests.

Mohammed Ahmed Amin Al Awadi, Director-General of SCCI, highlighted the festival’s significant economic impact. He stated, “Sharjah Shopping Promotions reflects a successful strategy that stimulates economic activity and enhances the trade sector’s contribution to the emirate’s GDP.”

Moreover, the event boosted retail sales, attracted new investments, and created job opportunities. These outcomes reinforced Sharjah’s commitment to achieving sustainable economic growth.

Abdul Aziz Al Shamsi, Assistant Director-General for Communication and Business Sector at SCCI, emphasized the festival’s appeal to both residents and tourists. He explained that attendees were eager to explore Sharjah’s cities while benefiting from discounts on luxury brands and essential goods.

According to Jamal Saeed Bouzanjal, Director of Corporate Communication Department at SCCI, the event’s success resulted from strong collaboration between malls, retail outlets, and government entities. Importantly, participating stores experienced a significant increase in sales, underscoring the festival’s contribution to commercial growth.

Beyond shopping, the event offered a wide range of engaging activities. Visitors enjoyed heritage-inspired shows, Emirati folk performances, workshops, and daily contests with valuable prizes. These activities enriched the overall experience and added cultural depth to the event.

The festival also included creative marketing campaigns and exciting raffle draws. Winners received shopping vouchers redeemable at various malls, which further increased visitor enthusiasm and engagement.
