Her Excellency Sana bint Mohammed Suhail, the newly appointed Minister of Family UAE, officially took her constitutional oath in Abu Dhabi. She was sworn in at Qasr Al Watan before President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan. Also present were His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister, and Ruler of Dubai, and His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Vice President, Deputy Prime Minister, and Chairman of the Presidential Court.
This ceremony followed the recent cabinet reshuffle, which created the Ministry of Family to strengthen UAE families. The reshuffle underscores the nation’s focus on enhancing social foundations and promoting stability.
During the event, His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed congratulated Her Excellency on her new role. He expressed confidence in her leadership and commitment to serving Emirati families. Moreover, he emphasized that the ministry reflects the UAE’s dedication to family stability and its vision for future development. He added that families are key to instilling national values, fostering unity, and strengthening comprehensive security.
Family Empowerment in the UAE’
Similarly, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid highlighted the importance of family empowerment in the UAE’s governance agenda. He stressed the need for initiatives and policies that support families and ensure their stability. He also reiterated that a strong and cohesive Emirati family is vital for achieving national goals.
“Families are the backbone of our society, driving all our ambitions and progress,” Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid said.
The ceremony saw the attendance of several senior leaders, including H.H. Sheikh Maktoum bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Finance, H.H. Sheikh Nahyan bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Chairman of the Zayed Charitable and Humanitarian Foundation, H.H. Lt. General Sheikh Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Minister of the Interior, Sheikh Nahyan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, Minister of Tolerance and Coexistence.
