Al Ain Municipality celebrated a historic milestone during the 53rd Eid Al Etihad by setting a Guinness World Record. On December 2, it launched the longest fireworks display, spanning 11.1 kilometers, breaking the previous record of 7.8 kilometers.
The breathtaking display featured 51 synchronized platforms, creating an unforgettable spectacle for attendees. Rashid Musabah Al Mannai, Director General of Al Ain Municipality, accepted the Guinness World Records certificate at a special ceremony. Officials and Guinness representatives were also present to mark the occasion.
To achieve this milestone, extensive planning and coordination were essential. Maitha Ali Al Kuwaiti, Head of the Events Department, emphasized how carefully the municipality worked with Guinness officials. She highlighted that every detail was meticulously arranged to meet the stringent requirements for this record.
The event attracted approximately 30,000 visitors over two days, making it a major celebration. Alongside the record-breaking fireworks, the festivities included dazzling drone shows, vibrant light displays, folk performances, and other activities. The main event took place at Hili Amusement Park, further enhancing the city’s festive atmosphere.
Second Guinness World Record
This accomplishment is Al Ain Municipality’s second Guinness World Record of 2023, following February’s “Largest Bouquet of Flowers” title. Such achievements demonstrate the city’s dedication to excellence and innovation, earning it global recognition.
