The 53rd UAE National Day, also known as Eid Al Etihad, kicked off with a grand military parade in Dibba Al Hisn, Sharjah. Large crowds gathered to enjoy the vibrant celebrations organized by Sharjah Police.
The event featured a striking display of marching and field drills performed by various security forces. Organized in partnership with the Sharjah Police Academy, the event included stirring musical performances by the academy’s military band. Participants in the parade included personnel from the Sharjah Police General Command, the General Command of the Amiri Guard, Sharjah Police Academy students, and the Sharjah Civil Defense Authority.
Following the parade, a procession showcased state-of-the-art vehicles and equipment used by Sharjah’s security forces. These vehicles, designed for rapid response, firefighting, and security operations, demonstrated advanced technologies and systems.
UAE National Day Festivities
Sharjah has planned an exciting lineup of activities and entertainment to celebrate the UAE National Day. The Union Day Celebrations Committee announced that events will take place from November 21 to December 2, promising memorable experiences for residents and visitors.
On a national level, Al Ain will host the official UAE National Day celebrations. Organizers have chosen Al Ain’s picturesque natural landscapes, a location cherished by UAE residents, as the venue for the event.
UAE National Day celebrations on December 2 will be broadcast live across local TV channels, cinemas, and select public areas. The organizing committee will soon reveal viewing locations across the Emirates to ensure everyone can participate in the festivities.
Five-Day Holiday in Sharjah
Employees in Sharjah’s public sector will enjoy a five-day long weekend in honor of UAE National Day. Paid holidays have been declared on December 2 and 3, with regular operations resuming on December 4, Wednesday.
Due to Sharjah’s official weekend running from Friday to Sunday, the extended break allows public sector employees more time to celebrate the nation’s achievements.
