UAE Visa Ban: Pakistan Embassy dismisses claims on document sharing

UAE Visa Ban

The Embassy of Pakistan in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) has claimed that there is no UAE visa ban on Pakistanis. The Embassy has also categorically refuted media reports alleging that the UAE government shared an official document outlining reasons for imposing visa restrictions on Pakistani nationals.

In a statement released on Tuesday, the embassy clarified, “These reports are baseless and factually incorrect. No such document has been shared by the UAE authorities.”

Pakistan-UAE Relations Remain Strong

The embassy emphasized the longstanding, friendly ties between Pakistan and the UAE. Both nations are actively working through official channels to resolve any mutual concerns, fostering cooperation and constructive dialogue.

Reaffirming its commitment to the Pakistani community in the UAE, the embassy stated, “We remain dedicated to protecting the interests of Pakistani nationals and will continue collaborating with UAE authorities to strengthen our bilateral relations.”

Media Reports on UAE Visa Ban

The embassy’s response follows reports suggesting the UAE imposed a visa ban on Pakistani citizens due to alleged misconduct. These reports claimed the UAE government provided documents highlighting reasons for the restrictions, including accusations against some Pakistani nationals.

Key allegations mentioned in the reports include:

Misuse of digital platforms: Protests, criticism of UAE government policies, and spreading negative content online.

Forgery concerns: Use of falsified identity documents, such as tampered ID cards and passports.

Criminal activities: Incidents of theft, fraud, drug-related offences, and begging allegedly involving Pakistani nationals.

These activities were reportedly seen as damaging to the UAE’s reputation and security, prompting stricter measures, including the purported visa restrictions.

Official Stance on the UAE Visa Ban

Despite these claims, the Pakistan Embassy firmly denied receiving any formal communication from the UAE on the matter. It reassured the public of its unwavering focus on addressing issues faced by Pakistani nationals in the UAE while preserving the strong partnership between the two nations.

As discussions about the UAE visa ban continue to surface, the embassy’s proactive approach underscores the importance of accurate information and diplomatic engagement in resolving such matters.
