Global Women Forum: Dubai to host Aishwarya Rai, Aseefa Bhutto

The Dubai Women Establishment (DWE) has unveiled the agenda for the highly anticipated Global Women Forum 2024. Bollywood star Aishwarya Rai and Pakistan’s First Lady Aseefa Bhutto Zardari will headline the event.

Scheduled for November 26-27 at Madinat Jumeirah, the forum aims to promote gender equality and women’s empowerment worldwide.

The international forum will welcome attendees from 65 countries, hosting over 130 sessions with 250 influential speakers. Participants include 25 government ministers, representatives from global organizations, youth leaders, and celebrated entrepreneurs.

Leadership and Key Highlights

During a press conference, the Dubai Government Media Office revealed the forum’s program, speakers, and partnerships. Mona Ghanem Al Marri, Chairwoman of DWE, and Naeema Ahli, Executive Director, shared insights into the event’s mission to advance gender balance.

Sheikha Manal bint Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, President of DWE emphasized the UAE’s dedication to gender equality. “The UAE is proud to lead in gender balance and women’s empowerment, ranking first regionally and seventh globally in the 2024 Gender Equality Index,” she stated.

Aishwarya Rai included Notable Speakers

The forum will feature a stellar lineup, including Aseefa Bhutto Zardari and global icon Aishwarya Rai. Keynote addresses will be delivered by Emine Erdoğan, wife of Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, and Saida Mirziyoyeva, Assistant to the President of Uzbekistan.

Other distinguished speakers include Saqr Ghobash, President of the UAE Federal National Council; Osman Dion, Vice President of the World Bank for the Middle East and North Africa; and Safaa El-Kouly, Director of the World Bank for GCC States.

The Global Women Forum Dubai 2024 will serve as a premier platform for dialogue, collaboration, and innovation. It aims to share best practices and enhance women’s roles across diverse sectors. The event reaffirms the UAE’s commitment to promoting gender equality through global partnerships and forward-thinking initiatives.
