Sharjah school construction site accident claims two lives, injures three

Two workers were killed and three more were hurt when the roof of a school being built in Kalba City, Sharjah collapsed, as reported by Sharjah Police.

Colonel Dr. Ali Al-Khamoudi, head of the Eastern Region Police Department, mentioned that upon getting the report today, response teams quickly gave first aid to injured individuals from Arab and Asian nations. The injuries ranged from slight to moderate in severity.

The two deceased workers’ bodies were removed from the accident site.

The police stated that all specific teams were dispatched to the location of the event, which included Sharjah Civil Defense Authority, Kalba Comprehensive Police Station, Crime Scene Team, National Ambulance, and Kalbaa City Municipality.

Al-Hamoudi stated that the site has been completely cleared by the specialized teams who also provided first aid to the injured individuals before taking them to the hospital.

In a post on social media, Sharjah Police stated that they are currently investigating the accident to understand the details.
