The UAE Fuel Price Committee has just announced the new prices for petrol and diesel for the month of September 2024 and for once in a long time drivers can finally breath easy because the prices have dropped considerably on all grades of fuel. These new rates will begin on September 1, 2024.
Super 98 petrol will now cost Dh2.90 a litre, down from Dh3.05 in August. Special 95 petrol will now be priced at Dh2.78 per litre, compared to the previous Dh2.93. E-Plus 91 petrol will now cost Dh2.71 a litre (down from Dh2.86 the month before). Even the diesel prices have fallen to Dh2.78 per litre from Dh2.95 per litre last month.
This price reduction means that depending on the type of vehicle, motorists could save between Dh7.65 and Dh11.1 on a full tank of petrol this month.
Predicted average Full Tank Costs for September of year 2024:
For Compact Cars (Average fuel tank capacity: 51 litres)
- Super 98 Petrol: Dh147.90 (This has reduced from Dh155. 55 that was recorded in August).
- Special 95 Petrol: Dh141.78 (From Dh149. 43 in August)
- E-Plus 91 Petrol: Dh138.21 (which is below the Dh145. 86 recorded in August).
For Sedans (Average fuel tank capacity: 62 litres)
- Super 98 Petrol: Dh179.80 (compared to Dh189. 10 recorded in August this year)
- Special 95 Petrol: Dh172.36 (It was decreased from Dh181. 66 in August)
- E-Plus 91 Petrol: Dh168.02 (compared with Dh177. 32 in August).
For SUVs (Average fuel tank capacity: 74 litres
- Super 98 Petrol: Dh214. Furthermore, the fare has reduced to 60 (from Dh225. 70 that were charged in August).
- Special 95 Petrol: Dh205.72 (from Dh 216. 82 last month August)
- E-Plus 91 Petrol: Dh200.54 (as compared to Dh211. 64 in August).
