Cristiano Ronaldo’s retirement plans revealed

Cristiano Ronaldo, widely regarded as one of the greatest footballers of all time, has recently shared insights into his future plans, hinting that his illustrious career may conclude with his current club, Al-Nassr.

At 39 years old, the Real Madrid legend, who is now playing in Saudi Arabia, spoke candidly in an interview with the Portuguese outlet Now about his retirement and what lies ahead.

Ronaldo’s journey through the world of football has been nothing short of extraordinary. He broke the world transfer record in 2009 when he left Manchester United for Real Madrid and went on to become Real Madrid’s all-time leading goal scorer. His time at the Bernabeu was marked by incredible success, winning the Ballon d’Or and the UEFA Champions League five times each. However, subsequent stints at Juventus and a return to Manchester United did not see the same level of triumph.

Ronaldo is now playing for Al-Nassr in the Saudi Pro League, and he says he is very happy there. The Portuguese star revealed that he is considering finishing his career at Al-Nassr, although he has yet to decide when that day will come.

“I don’t know if I’ll finish soon or in two or three years. But, possibly, it will be at Al-Nassr. It’s my team, I’m happy there, I play well there, I feel comfortable there, in my country and in my league,” Ronaldo told Now. Which is why most likely I can end my career at Al-Nassr. I’m very happy to play in the Arab League, and I want to continue.”.

Ronaldo’s international career is also coming to a close but he isn’t saying anything about his retirement plans for the Portugal national team. The football icon made it clear that when the time comes, he will make the decision independently and will not disclose it to anyone beforehand.

I will never announce to anyone when I am leaving the national team, it will come very sudden, but at the same time it will be a very well thought decision,” Ronaldo said. Well, what I would like to see right now is myself back on the field, able to contribute to the national team in these approaching games. We have the Nations League coming up, and I’d love to play.
