The Dubai Tourist Police have received a significant number of inquiries, comments, and suggestions from tourists since the beginning of 2024, with a total of 3,509 interactions recorded as of mid-August.
This follows 7,652 similar interactions last year, highlighting the growing engagement between tourists and the authorities.
To provide seamless and round-the-clock support, the Dubai Tourist Police utilize five innovative digital communication channels, ensuring tourists have easy access to services and assistance whenever needed.
One of the key communication tools is the latest version of the Dubai Police smart app, which enables tourists to effortlessly submit inquiries and reports from anywhere in the world. This app has been designed to simplify interactions, making it more convenient for visitors to communicate with the police.
In addition to the app, tourists can also access the Dubai Police website, offering another straightforward way to connect with the authorities. For those who prefer in-person interactions, Dubai’s Smart Police Stations (SPS), which operate 24/7 without human intervention, provide a third option. These stations are strategically located throughout the city, allowing tourists to submit suggestions and reports at any time.
For non-emergency situations, tourists can use the 901 call centre, providing a dedicated line for inquiries and assistance. The fifth communication channel is the Tourist Police email, accessible worldwide at touristpolice@dubaipolice.gov.ae, further broadening the range of options available to visitors.
Brigadier Khalfan Obaid Al Jallaf, director of the Tourist Police Department, emphasized that the feedback received has significantly enhanced their ability to deliver police and security services. This includes recovering lost items, assisting tourists in returning to their accommodations, and even facilitating their return to their home countries. Such efforts are aimed at improving the overall experience for visitors in Dubai, making their stay as enjoyable and safe as possible.
