If you’re gearing up for a fun-filled day at Dubai Mall, whether it’s shopping, watching a movie, or exploring attractions like the Dubai Aquarium and the iconic fountains, there’s a lot to keep you occupied.
However, with so much to do, it’s easy to lose track of time, and before you know it, you might be hit with parking fees.
In July, Dubai Mall, in partnership with Salik, rolled out a new paid parking system. This system allows visitors four hours of free parking on weekdays and six hours on weekends. While this might seem like plenty of time, it’s surprisingly easy to exceed these hours during a busy day at the mall.
But don’t worry—there are several ways to avoid parking fees and make the most of your visit.
Where to Find Free Parking at Dubai Mall
For those planning to stay longer, Dubai Mall offers complimentary parking in specific areas like the Zabeel and Fountain Views parking zones. These spots are perfect if you want to enjoy an extended visit without worrying about the clock.
Public Transportation: A Hassle-Free Option
- Dubai Metro
The Dubai Metro offers one of the most convenient ways to reach Dubai Mall. The Burj Khalifa/Dubai Mall Metro Station is connected to the mall via the Metro Link Bridge, a fully air-conditioned tunnel with stunning views of Downtown Dubai. The bridge is open from 10 AM to midnight on weekdays and until 1 AM on weekends.
If you prefer not to walk the 10-15 minute stretch, you can catch a feeder bus from the metro station directly to the mall entrance. Just follow the signs to Dubai Mall Metro Bus Stop 2 and hop on the F13 bus.
- Dubai Public Taxi
Taxis are readily available at Dubai Mall, with pick-up points at P3 Zabeel Exit, P3 Cinema Parking near The Village, and P4 Fashion Avenue Parking. This is a convenient option for those who want door-to-door service.
- Ride-Hailing Services: Careem and Uber
If you’re using ride-hailing services like Careem or Uber, Dubai Mall has designated pick-up and drop-off points. For ease of access, there are special queues for People of Determination and Senior Citizens. Look for pick-up points at The Village and P4 Fashion Avenue Expansion Entrance, and drop-off points at the Waterfront Promenade and Fashion Avenue Expansion – Boulevard Level.
- Public Buses
Dubai Mall is also accessible by public bus, with two routes servicing the area. Route 27 connects the Gold Souq bus station to the mall, while Route 29 links the Ghubaiba bus station. Both buses drop off passengers at the tourist area near the Grand Drive Entrance on the Lower Ground Floor, making it a convenient and budget-friendly option.
- Intercity Bus from Ras Al Khaimah
If you’re coming from Ras Al Khaimah, you’re in luck—the Ras Al Khaimah Transport Authority (RAKTA) offers a direct intercity bus service to Dubai Mall. The service runs two round trips on weekends, with one-way tickets priced at Dh30 and round trips at Dh60. Children under three travel for free. This service operates on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays, making it easier for those from other emirates to visit Dubai’s premier shopping destination.
Maximize Your Visit Without Worrying About Parking
By planning ahead and choosing the best transportation option, you can enjoy everything Dubai Mall has to offer without the stress of parking fees. Whether you’re taking advantage of free parking zones or opting for public transportation, there are plenty of ways to make your visit smooth and cost-effective.
