- Crimes related to public service, such as bribery, abuse of power, and impersonation of public officers.
- Crimes that threaten Dubai’s security and interests, including forgery, embezzlement, abuse of public funds, illicit gain, and counterfeiting of currency.
- Practices that could negatively impact the economy or resources of Dubai.
How to Report an Economic Crime: To report an economic crime, you will need to provide documentation or evidence. It is important to avoid conducting your own investigation, as only authorized entities are responsible for gathering evidence.
Reporting Process:
- Visit the ESCD website at www.esc.gov.ae.
- Click on ‘Report Incident’ on the homepage.
- Agree to the terms and conditions after reviewing the application overview, and then click ‘Continue.’
- Provide your full name, email address, mobile number, and captcha code, then click ‘Send OTP.’
- Enter the one-time password (OTP) sent to your registered mobile number to verify your identity.
- Once verified, you can file your report, including details like the type of incident, date, and the entity or individual involved.
- Attach any relevant evidence to support your report.
Your report will be kept confidential, and your personal details will not be shared with third parties. The ESCD will evaluate the nature of the incident and evidence provided to determine whether to investigate further and will follow up with you accordingly.
