A red alert has been issued for fog with reduced visibility this morning, July 20, from 6.15 am to 8.30 am, according to the National Centre of Meteorology (NCM).
Abu Dhabi Police have advised motorists to exercise caution and adhere to changing speed limits displayed on road signs due to the reduced visibility.
In addition to the red alert, the NCM has also issued a yellow alert from 4.30 am to 8.30 am for some areas, indicating the possibility of fog formation that could further reduce horizontal visibility.
Today’s weather forecast predicts fair to partly cloudy skies, with low clouds appearing over the eastern coast in the morning. Some convective clouds may develop towards the east in the afternoon.
Temperatures in Abu Dhabi will range between 31℃ and 42℃, while Dubai will see temperatures between 32℃ and 41℃. Humidity is expected to increase by night and into Sunday morning in some coastal areas, with a chance of mist formation.
Light to moderate winds will prevail, occasionally freshening. The sea conditions will be slight in the Arabian Gulf and slight to moderate in the Oman Sea.
