In a significant announcement, Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, Member of the Supreme Council and Ruler of Sharjah, assured that all newly registered children in Sharjah’s nurseries will be given seats.
This initiative involves building new nurseries and expanding existing capacities.
During the months of July and August, 446 additional seats will be made available in Sharjah nurseries. This expansion aims to address the current shortfall, as registration closed with 1,781 applicants while only 1,335 seats are presently available.
Sheikh Dr. Sultan made this announcement via the “Direct Line” program broadcast on Sharjah Radio and Television. He emphasized the dual importance of nurseries for both safety and education, highlighting that the curriculum used in Sharjah’s nurseries is developed in collaboration with European partners to ensure high standards.
Addressing parents’ concerns, Sheikh Dr. Sultan reassured, “Do not be afraid, your child will get a seat.” This commitment to expanding nursery capacity underscores Sharjah’s dedication to early childhood education and the well-being of its youngest residents.
