UAE weather forecast: NCM issues rain, fog warning

UAE residents can look forward to fair to partly cloudy weather conditions on Wednesday.

The National Centre of Meteorology (NCM) has forecasted that clouds will develop over the mountainous regions in the afternoon.

Along the coast, temperatures are expected to fluctuate and decrease.

Fog Alert in Abu Dhabi

Motorists in Abu Dhabi should be cautious as the NCM has issued a fog alert for some areas. Visibility may drop below 1,000 meters, potentially falling even further in certain internal regions until 8:30 a.m. This could pose a hazard to early morning commuters.

Winds and Sea Conditions

Winds will be light to moderate overall but may pick up strength over the sea, becoming fresh at times. This could result in blowing dust and sand, which may reduce visibility in exposed areas. The Arabian Gulf is expected to experience moderate to rough seas, while the Oman Sea will remain slight.

Weather Forecast for July

Looking ahead, July is anticipated to bring higher temperatures due to the influence of thermal lows in the region. One significant factor is India’s monsoon low pressure, which contributes to the rise in temperatures.

The eastern mountains and southern parts of the UAE will see cloud development due to high temperatures and the topography. Afternoon rains are expected in these areas and could extend to some interior regions. The Intertropical Convergence Zone (ITCZ) is also predicted to affect parts of the country, especially in the latter half of the month, bringing convective rainy clouds.

Humidity and Fog

Relative humidity is likely to increase on some days, particularly in the early mornings, potentially leading to mist or fog in various areas. This weather pattern is typical for July and will be monitored closely to ensure the safety of residents and motorists.
