Ras Al Khaimah Police have reintroduced the successful ‘one-day test’ initiative for obtaining a driving license, now available in Ras Al Khaimah after previous success in Sharjah and Fujairah.
This streamlined process, aimed at national service recruits, will run from July to December 2024.
The initiative allows recruits to complete the eye-test, internal and external practical testing, and theory exam all in one day.
Colonel Saqir bin Sultan Al-Qasimi, Director of the Department of Machinery and Drivers Licensing, emphasized the goal of saving time and effort for soldiers, eliminating the need for multiple visits to obtain a license.
Soldiers are encouraged to use the Ministry of Interior (MOI) app to follow the necessary steps and guidelines. To qualify, recruits must be high school graduates.
This initiative follows a similar program launched in Fujairah in June and in Sharjah last year, where 194 trainees benefited within two weeks.
By integrating all required tests into a single day, Ras Al Khaimah aims to facilitate a quicker and more efficient process for national service recruits to obtain their driving licenses.
