The National Centre of Meteorology (NCM) has provided an outlook on the upcoming weather conditions for the UAE starting from Saturday through to Tuesday.
Saturday is expected to be clear to partly cloudy, with low clouds appearing on the eastern coast in the morning. There’s a chance of cumulus clouds forming in the east by the afternoon, with humidity increasing at night and into Sunday morning. Fog or light fog may develop in coastal areas during this period.
Winds will predominantly be northwesterly to northeasterly, ranging from light to moderate speeds during the day, occasionally becoming active and stirring up dust. Wind speeds could reach up to 35 km/h, with calm seas expected in both the Arabian Gulf and the Sea of Oman.
Moving into Sunday, the weather will be partly cloudy to cloudy at times, especially in eastern and southern regions. Winds will shift to northwesterly to southwesterly directions, varying from light to moderate speeds.
There may be active periods during the day, potentially stirring up dust with speeds ranging up to 40 km/h. The sea conditions will remain light in the Arabian Gulf and occasionally light to moderate in the Sea of Oman.
By Monday, similar weather patterns are anticipated with partly cloudy to cloudy skies expected, particularly in the east and south. Winds will be southwesterly to northwesterly, maintaining light to moderate speeds but occasionally becoming active.
Dust may be stirred up during the day with wind speeds ranging up to 40 km/h. Sea conditions will mirror those of Sunday, remaining light in both the Arabian Gulf and the Sea of Oman.
Looking ahead to Tuesday, the weather will continue to be partly cloudy to cloudy, especially in eastern and southern areas, accompanied by a rise in temperatures. Humidity will increase at night and into Wednesday morning in coastal and inland areas.
Winds will shift to southwesterly to northwesterly directions, similar to Monday, with light to moderate speeds and occasional active periods. Dust may be stirred up with wind speeds reaching up to 35 km/h. The sea will be light to moderate in the Arabian Gulf and light in the Sea of Oman at times.
The NCM advises residents and visitors to stay updated on weather forecasts and take necessary precautions, especially during periods of active winds and potential dust formation.
