Flydubai has announced the launch of new flight services to Islamabad and Lahore in Pakistan, starting from July 1, 2024.
The flights will operate from Terminal 2 at Dubai International Airport (DXB), catering to the 1.7 million Pakistani nationals residing and working in the UAE.
“Pakistan has always been a significant market for flydubai,” stated Hamad Obaidalla, the chief commercial officer at flydubai. “Since we began operations in 2010, the demand for travel has consistently grown. With the introduction of daily flights to Islamabad and Lahore, we are excited to offer passengers more opportunities to explore Dubai, the GCC region, and beyond through our extensive network.”
Flydubai initially commenced operations in Pakistan with flights to Karachi. Over the years, the airline has expanded its services to include Faisalabad, Multan, Quetta, Sialkot, and now, Islamabad and Lahore.
Sudhir Sreedharan, senior vice president for commercial operations covering the UAE, GCC, Africa, and the Indian Subcontinent, highlighted the benefits of the new services. “Our daily flights to Islamabad and Lahore will provide customers from both the UAE and Pakistan with more convenient and reliable travel options. Utilizing our fleet of Boeing 737 MAX aircraft, we are confident that passengers will experience enhanced travel comfort with our onboard amenities.”
For those planning to travel, return Business Class fares from Dubai to Islamabad start at AED 5,500, while Economy Class fares begin at AED 1,300. From Islamabad to Dubai, Business Class fares start at PKR 400,000 and Economy Class fares at PKR 120,000. Similarly, return Business Class fares from Dubai to Lahore are priced from AED 5,500, with Economy Class starting at AED 1,200. From Lahore to Dubai, Business Class fares start at PKR 400,000 and Economy Class at PKR 120,000.
