Fears of visa restrictions for Pakistani workers in the UAE have been dispelled. The United Arab Emirates (UAE) has officially denied rumors circulating on social media, causing anxiety among Pakistani job seekers.
The rumors, widely shared online, suggested a ban on work visas for single Pakistani men under 42. This sparked concern within the Pakistani community in the UAE, with many worried about their job prospects.
UAE Consulate Sets the Record Straight
Moving swiftly to address these concerns, the UAE Consulate General in Karachi released a video statement through Bakheet Obaid Al-Roumi. He firmly denied the claims, calling them “fabricated.”
“There is no visa ban for Pakistanis,” Al-Roumi clearly stated. “The UAE consulate’s visa section remains fully operational.” This announcement aimed to reassure Pakistani job seekers that the UAE remains open for business.
Age Doesn’t Matter When it Comes to Work
The consulate emphasized that there are no age restrictions on work visas for Pakistani nationals. This clarifies that anyone from Pakistan, regardless of their marital status or age, can apply for a work permit in the UAE, as long as they meet the necessary criteria.
Unfortunately, this is not the first time false information has caused a stir among Pakistani expatriates in the UAE. Last year, similar rumors about a visa ban on residents from specific Pakistani cities were debunked as well.
Pakistanis Play a Vital Role in the UAE
Pakistanis represent a significant portion of the UAE’s expatriate community. They contribute significantly to the country’s workforce, working in various sectors like construction, healthcare, finance, and hospitality.
The UAE continues to be a land of opportunity for Pakistani workers seeking better career prospects and income. The consulate’s clarification underscores the UAE’s commitment to welcoming Pakistani talent and valuing their contributions to the nation’s growth.
