UAE weekend forecast: Sunshine with a side of scattered showers

The National Center of Meteorology (NCM) has issued a forecast for a fair to partly cloudy day across the UAE on Saturday, June 8th. While the morning may start out pleasant, residents can expect clouds to gather throughout the day, with a chance of scattered showers developing in the eastern areas by afternoon.

Be prepared for scorching temperatures! The NCM predicts highs reaching a scorching 47°C in some internal areas. It won’t be much cooler along the coast, with Abu Dhabi and Dubai expected to see highs of 44°C and 41°C respectively. Combined with humidity levels reaching up to 50% in some areas, it’ll be a hot and hazy day.

Residents can expect light to moderate winds throughout the day, with occasional stronger gusts that could stir up dust. Thankfully, the seas in both the Arabian Gulf and the Oman Sea are expected to remain calm.

With these hot temperatures on the horizon, it’s important to stay cool and hydrated. Make sure to drink plenty of water throughout the day, avoid strenuous activity during the hottest part of the day, and seek air-conditioned spaces whenever possible. Don’t forget the sunscreen if you do head outdoors!
