Dubai drivers rejoice! “On-the-go” initiative makes life easier and safer

Dubai motorists can breathe a sigh of relief thanks to the Dubai Police’s “On-the-Go” initiative. Launched earlier this year, the program offers a variety of services conveniently located at 138 petrol stations across the emirate.

Imagine this: you’re running errands and accidentally bump your car at a gas station. No need to stress about a police station visit! “On-the-Go” allows you to file a minor traffic accident report right there, saving you time and hassle. Captain Majid bin Saeed Al Kaabi, head of the initiative, shared some impressive statistics. Since its launch, over 1,600 minor traffic accidents have been reported through “On-the-Go,” with nearly 500 reports filed against unknown parties for vehicle damage.

But that’s not all! The program offers much more. Stranded with a car breakdown? Don’t worry! Senior citizens, people with disabilities, and pregnant women can benefit from a free car repair service at select stations. Captain Al Kaabi revealed that over 395 individuals have already enjoyed this helpful perk.

Looking for a lost item? “On-the-Go” can help there too. Nearly 1,000 lost items have been successfully returned to their rightful owners thanks to the program.

The initiative goes beyond just accidents and lost belongings. Dubai Police has partnered with petrol companies like ENOC, ADNOC, and Emarat to provide a wider range of services. This includes utilizing the “Police Eye” system for reporting minor accidents, missing persons, scams, and even cybercrimes.

Dubai’s “On-the-Go” initiative is a shining example of how innovation can improve people’s lives. It provides convenience, peace of mind, and a helping hand to residents and visitors alike, making Dubai an even more motorist-friendly city.
