Dubai is set to embark on two groundbreaking construction projects, aiming to redefine the city’s coastline and enhance its beachfront experience.
The Government of Dubai has unveiled plans for the development of a revolutionary floating pedestrian bridge in the picturesque Al Mamzar area, along with the creation of a stunning 24/7 beach in Deira.
With an estimated budget of AED 355 million, these ambitious projects signify Dubai’s commitment to modernizing its coastal infrastructure and elevating its status as a world-class tourist destination. The initiative, spearheaded by the Supreme Committee for Urban Planning and Wellbeing, aims to transform the beaches of Al Mamzar and Jumeirah 1 into iconic waterfront attractions.
According to a press release from the committee, the projects are scheduled to be completed within 18 months, covering a total area of 5.7 kilometers. The development will encompass 4.3 kilometers in Al Mamzar and 1.4 kilometers in Jumeirah 1, promising visitors an unparalleled beach experience.
These visionary projects have been initiated under the directive of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the United Arab Emirates, with the goal of positioning Dubai’s public beaches as global benchmarks for excellence. Oversight and supervision of the projects will be led by His Highness Prince Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum and the Chairman of the Executive Council.
The committee has outlined plans for extensive infrastructure enhancements aimed at revitalizing the beaches and ensuring they rank among the most modern and attractive in the world. The initiatives seek to create a harmonious blend of natural beauty and cutting-edge design, offering residents and tourists alike an unforgettable seaside experience.
