Dubai’s business hub expands as One Za’abeel enters free zone

One Za’abeel, the iconic cantilevered building along Sheikh Zayed Road, has officially become part of the Dubai World Trade Centre Authority’s Free Zone.

This development is set to revolutionise the way businesses operate in the heart of Dubai’s Central Business District.

According to Decree No. 18 of 2024, companies and organizations within One Za’abeel will now enjoy a range of benefits, including:

  • 100% foreign ownership
  • Exemption from customs duties
  • Dual-licensing opportunities
  • 0% Corporate Tax
  • Simplified procedures for visas and permits
  • Flexible office solutions

Abdalla Al Banna, Vice-President of Free Zone Regulatory Operations at Dubai World Trade Centre Authority, emphasized that this expansion reinforces Dubai’s position as a hub for commerce and enterprise. “This move will directly benefit businesses and SMEs, accelerating the goals of Dubai’s Economic Agenda D33,” he said.

One Za’abeel’s The Offices, spanning 26,000 square meters, offers premium amenities and services, including LEED Gold and WiredScore Platinum certifications. Tenants will enjoy access to an ecosystem of retail, dining, hospitality, and more, all within the development.

Issam Galadari, Director of One Za’abeel Holdings, welcomed the move, stating, “Becoming part of the Dubai World Trade Centre Authority’s Free Zone further benefits our tenants, offering them continued growth and solidifying their presence in this thriving business community.”

One Za’abeel’s retail Podium, set to open later this year, will feature an array of international and local brands, providing a unique shopping experience.
