Dubai to host world’s biggest AI prompt engineering championship

Dubai is set to host the world’s largest AI prompt engineering challenge, the Global Prompt Engineering Championship, on May 20-21 at Emirates Towers and the Museum of the Future.

The event, under the patronage of Sheikh Hamdan Bin Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, will bring together 30 top participants from around the globe to compete in three categories: Art, Literature, and Coding.

The championship, organized by the Dubai Centre for Artificial Intelligence, has attracted thousands of entries from over 100 countries, showcasing the widespread impact of AI across various sectors. The selected participants will compete for a total prize fund of 1 million dirhams.

The judges’ panel includes renowned experts in their respective fields, such as Benedetta Ghione from Art Dubai, Mustafa Al Rawi from International Media Investments, and Ashraf Khan from IBM.

The competition will take place over two days, with participants competing in four rounds on the first day. They will be judged on speed, quality, innovation, creativity, and accuracy. The top three challengers from each category will qualify for the final stage on the second day, where they will compete for the grand prize.

Saeed Al Falasi, Director of Dubai Centre for Artificial Intelligence, emphasized the importance of nurturing talents in generative AI and providing a global platform for showcasing their skills. He noted that the championship has garnered significant global interest, highlighting the far-reaching impact of AI across sectors.

This event is a testament to Dubai’s commitment to innovation and its vision to become a hub for AI and technological advancements.
