Etihad Airways supports 25,000 women-owned SMEs in Abu Dhabi

Etihad Airways and the Abu Dhabi Businesswomen Council (ADBWC) have signed a Memorandum of Understanding to support and empower 25,000 women-owned small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in Abu Dhabi.

This pioneering partnership aims to promote economic growth and gender equality by providing women entrepreneurs with access to valuable resources and opportunities. Etihad Airways will consider members of the ADBWC as preferred suppliers for procurement, ensuring that local businesses are prioritized whenever possible.

Through its “Business Connect” program, Etihad will also offer generous Etihad Guest Miles benefits to ADBWC members when booking travel, making it easier for women-owned SMEs to connect with global markets and expand their reach.

This partnership builds on Etihad’s existing commitment to local procurement, demonstrating the airline’s dedication to supporting the local community and promoting economic development in the region.

“We are thrilled to partner with the Abu Dhabi Businesswomen Council to support women-owned SMEs in Abu Dhabi,” said Etihad Airways’ representative. “This initiative aligns with our values of empowerment, innovation, and community engagement, and we look forward to seeing the positive impact it will have on the local economy.”

The ADBWC praised the partnership, saying, “This collaboration will provide our members with unprecedented opportunities for growth and success. We are grateful to Etihad Airways for their commitment to supporting women entrepreneurs and look forward to working together to drive economic progress in Abu Dhabi.”
