The event aligns with the framework of the “Arab Digital Economy Vision”, which was first announced in December 2018 in Abu Dhabi with the support of the President, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, and later approved at the summit in Algeria by the Arab League in 2022.
Sheikh Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan attended the opening session, where he and the participants witnessed the unveiling of the “Arab Digital Economy Index (2024)”.
He was also informed about the establishment of the “Hikamat” Center for Scientific Research at the Arab and Islamic level and the Arab Artificial Intelligence Initiative, which aims to promote innovation in the Arab world, develop sector-specific solutions and information in Arabic. The summit was also attended by Arab and Western ambassadors accredited to the state, Arab government officials, experts in the digital economy and representatives of specific Arab organizations and unions under the auspices of the Arab League.
More than 500 speakers are participating in 200 sessions and lectures and more than 25,000 public and private sector officials representing more than 5,000 organizations from 130 countries are attending. More than 720 international companies and 400 start-ups also participated in this conference.
